Commonwealth Games and Australian open and MORE
Taylor Bowls were used very effectively at the 2006 Commonwealth games and Australian open. Kelvin Kerkow won gold in the Commonwealth Games Singles,while in the Australian Open Singles it was again Gold.
Kelvin used Redlines while XTL were the winners in the Australian Open.
Commonwealth Gold in the Pairs with Redlines and Vectors.
Vectors were used by World Chamion Mervyn King from England during the Commonwealth Games.
It was proven beyond doubt that we at Taylor have a bowl for every situation.On the varying greens at Darebin ,the Games venue,every type of Taylor Bowl was in use and every one of the various models achieved Gold.
Then it was indoors to the Australian Indoor Singles.
Kelvin Kerkow was on top form with his purple Redlines.
He demolished David Holt who was using Almark Edge Bowls.
Kelvins form continued and he was crowned The Australian Indoor Singles Champion.
Kelvin also uses ComfitPro Whiteline and Olympic shoes.
(Glasson was beaten in the second round...ne was using Allmark Edge Bowls).
The Tri-Nations
A major international competition that will be on TV in australia in November and December.
Fought between The British Lions,Australia and South Africa,the event was held this year,2006,in Johannesburg.
Australia were the winners with the ENTIRE team using Vectors and that included Wayne Turley who put away his Powers and Steve Glasson who put away his Almark Edge Bowls.
